Pulse has has been appointed as principal contractor by Hanson School to deliver a state-of-the art leisure solution, whereby Pulse will fund, design, build and operate the new facility.
Bradford based Hanson School approached Pulse to help them provide a better sporting provision for their students and the local community. In partnership with the school, Pulse has produced a bespoke solution that will provide a range of first rate sporting facilities to improve health and fitness of the students and wider community.
The vision for the new dual use Pulse Health & Fitness centre, was to support the government’s campaign to promote health and fitness, combat obesity and provide young people with good quality, easily accessible sports facilities whilst meeting the schools aims and objectives financially.
The new facility comprises of a new 65 station fitness suite, dance studio, dry changing facilities and sports hall. Pulse will deliver the project in 22 weeks, with a scheduled opening in September 2010. Pulse will also fund the estimated £1.7m to build the new sports facility. The dual use site will be accessible in the day to students and staff for educational and curriculum opportunities and daily from 5pm and weekends will be a commercial site operated by Pulse staff for the local community.
