BIMAL Report
The cam design of the 615G Torso Twist replicates the dynamic function of the oblique abdominal muscles and the position of the seat ensures that the correct bio-mechanics of the lumbar spine and pelvis exists with rotational movements of the spine. The range limiter ensures that no negative overload occurs through joints which are restricted in motion, so that overstrain of mobile joints does not occur during the phase of returning the weights to rest. The use of the shoulder pressure pad prevents the shoulders themselves being overloaded, which often occurs with other machines.
The machine is effective for the following conditions:
• |
Late/intermediate lumbar sacral disc lesions |
• |
Late/intermediate facet joint lesions |
• |
Ligamentous strains of the lumbar spine
and lumbar-sacral ligaments |
• |
Post spinal surgery rehabilitation |
• |
Neurological conditions |
• |
Postural re-education |
• |
Ankylosing spondylitis |
• |
Asthma |
• |
Thoracic spine immobility |
• |
Intercostal joint and muscles lesions |
• |
Late stage fractures of the ribs and sternum |
