BIMAL Report
The cam profile of the 562G is designed to ensure that the imposition of load through the hamstring is set so that the force begins high, then progressively decreases throughout the range thus mimicking the normal dynamic action of the knee flexors. The seated position enables the user to work from low to high intensities of resistance in a safe and bio-mechanically efficient manner, which the prone leg curl failed to allow without placing undue strain through the knee complex. This machine is effective for exercising the hamstring, gastrocnemious muscles, and unlike the prone leg curl machine which could allow the user to compensate and stress the lumbar spine, this machine ensures that the user is able to work the muscle to its optimum without stressing other joints.
The machine is effective for the following conditions:
• Meniscular lesion
• Early, intermediate and late stage hamstring lesions
• Reciprocal inhibition of the quadriceps musculature
• Gastrocnemious lesions
• Medial collateral ligament lesions
• Lateral collateral ligament lesions
• Anterior cruciate lesions
• Popliteous lesions
• Osteochondritus lesions of the femoral and tibial condyles
• Knee reconstruction surgery
• Post operative tibial transfer surgery
• Intermediate/late stage growth plate lesions
