BIMAL Report
The cam profile of the 560G is designed to ensure that the imposition of load through the quadriceps musculature is set so that the force begins low, progressively develops at 60 degrees and then reduces towards the terminal range of extension.
This machine is effective for exercising the quadriceps group, especially when the avoidance of compressive forces is required, i.e. when articular cartilage damage exists on the femoral tibial surface or meniscual lesion which may be affected by leg press exercises.
The machine is effective for the following conditions:
• |
Meniscular lesion |
• |
Late stage quadriceps lesions |
• |
Late stage patellar tendon lesions |
• |
Quadriceps lesions |
• |
Medial collateral ligament lesions |
• |
Lateral collateral ligament lesions |
• |
Posterior cruciate lesions |
• |
Menisco-patellar ligament lesions |
• |
Osteochondritus lesions of the femoral condyles
(not patellar sulcus) |
• |
Osteochondritus lesions of the tibial surface |
• |
Post operative tibial transfer surgery |
• |
Intermediate/late stage growth plate lesions |
