BIMAL Report
The bio-mechanically designed cam profiles ensure that the pectoralus major muscle is working to its optimum throughout the full range of contraction. The range limiting device prevents overloading of the gleno-humeral and acromioclavicular joints at the onset of movement, when the joint and muscles are at their most vulnerable. The positioning of the forearms on the pressure pads alters the loading of the anterior shoulder muscles and short head of biceps and decreases the compressive forces through the sub-acromial structures.
Rehabilitative conditions:
• Late/intermediate acromio-clavicular joint lesions
• Late/intermediate rotator cuff lesions
• Ligamentous strains of the shoulder joint
• Post shoulder surgery rehabilitation
• Neurological conditions
• Pectoral lesions
• Short head of biceps lesions
• Late stage adhesive capsulitus lesions
• Gleno-humeral instability conditions
• Gleno-humeral labrum lesions
• Post-op breast operations
